I have a bit of a problem with my internal hard drives disappearing from My computer they seem to appear one day then it seams like they are not connected?

The motherboard is a GA-H55M-UD2H I have got a SSD for windows 7 and two seagate a 650 GB and a 1TB I have no problem with the SSD but the other to spinners do not all ways show up in My computer? Is this a driver issue can any one shed any light on this

How frequently are they not appearing? do they show up in the BIOS? if yes, do they show up in disk management in windows? Is your power supply sufficient and connected correctly (by full sata, not cheap molex to sata converters)? and have you tried swapping round the hard drives into different SATA ports on the motherboard.

It's difficult to help without more information tbh...

Although it's unlikely that all 3 of the mechanical drives will have failed so more likely to be a SATA controller issue, maybe driver, maybe hardware - difficult to tell really

I guess too that it's ur psu

It was not happening that oftern but thay don’t show up at all now I have down loaded some drivers to see if that helps thay don’t show up in disk management or on the BIOS the PSU is a Corsair 650W so that should be good enough I think?

The power supply will be good enough, unless cables are not connected properly. I ha similar issues while using a molex to sata converter in an effort to improve cable management - ie, only using on of the modular molex cables with adapters on. This would occasionally happen to me so it's always best to double check.

Other than that, your motherboard has 5 SATA ports, assuming you're using a DVD drive maybe, that's all of them taken up. I'd suggest swapping them round, put the SSD in one of the mechanical drive's SATA ports and see if you still get the issue.

Maybe also try a BIOS update if there is one, and any SATA controller driver updates you may find.

Im just kind of hitting and hoping here as you can probably tell

With intermittent problems like this it is very hard to quickly find a solution, so try the bios update/sata controller updates and swap round the sata cables.

Hope this helps
