Camera Issue

Hey all,

I just went to Google this and thought after seeing "Tear your camera apart" I'd just ask you boys.

Basically I went to use my digital camera at the weekend, pressed the power button, lense opened and sprung to life but then the power went. Tried again but nothing so I changed the four batteries even though the ones previously installed were new, I just hadn't used the camera in a few months. Same thing, so now when I press the power button the lense won't even retract.

Is this common and whats the fix?

Umm I can't remember I'll have to check, but I don't think it does now you mention it.

Better not be! It's only just over one year old Nikon the little turds!

point and shoots dont last too long, i had a pentex, and anyone who knows camera's will tell you pentax stuff aint cheap, and it only last 2 years before the motor died

It's hardly been used though. I'll probably be pointing to the bin and chucking it then. Not pleased though.

Don't have any warranty? We have 2 years on all electronic products over here in the Netherlands.
