Calling all team members!

Right boys and girls (suspicious people with long hair and beards) Ive got a few cards here at OC3D towers that I need to rehome. Seeing as they are from the magic folding boys from Nvidia I thought Id do something with you guys.

A: we need to work out how to / who to give them too but also if they dont stay being used for the team till they die Ill probably not bother again. (people selling stuff I hand out is the reason I dont normally bother)

B: Im also looking for someone to write a monthly team update for the front page. You MUST be able to write a decent article because youll basically be selling the team. Its much harder than it looks tbh but anyone with an active interest and enthusiasm Ill give a shot. (Ill need samples of writing etc before anything gets near the front page just because of the amount of time Ill need to spend training you on the back end of the site)

Il also be doing a F@H Guide fairly shortly and bringing the front page article back up to the top of the front page again so apologies if there is a flood of n000bs, if just one stays hopefully it will be worth it!)

I can help and give my support to point A. I just have to buy a used X58 motherboard cas i have all the rest (case+power supply+hard drive+procesor I7 920+memory) to make some serious PPD´s!

I think this is a great opportunity for someone to get a decent amount of point's for the team, not been able to fold a lot recently as I've not long got my rig back up and running. The cards would be wasted on me i think, as I've only got a Phenom II x4 955 folding here. But let's hope whoever gets them doesn't try to make a quick quid and actually puts them to good use.

Ive got 3 560's mate one is a 448 core..... So considering that beats the card in your main rig......

I have a rig just sitting there with a 7900gs which wont fold so i could put one of these cards to good use. (Leaving my pc on 24/7 is no issue either as our power bill is already a few K every year

)

But im sure who ever gets them will bring in the points for the team

This is not a begging thread for cards, Its a work out how we will give them away thread. If I have to pick people then fine but wanted to try and drum up a competition or something.

This is pretty interesting. I would love to help out, but can't write for toffee so would be no point!

But how about if you want to enter you have to write a 500 word article or something on "why you should fold for OC3D". Then the best written/most interesting article gets it? Imagine it would save hassle of people saying they wanted to do it, then having to ask for examples of writing etc. just straight up, if you want to enter, submit an article?

You could just draw the names out of a hat, but to enter you have to post a picture of the rig that it will go into. Also put your name on a piece of paper, much like the F&W forum.

You could also keep an eye on the persons PPD, Along with a new photo every so often including your name and the date to make sure there being used as intended.

it would also be an idea that once they die they get sent back to you, this will stop people just lying and selling them on.

I'm relatively new to folding though, been doing it for only a couple of months, but yeah only really folding cos it interests me and ive always though it could be useful for applying for medicine at uni some how haha
