c300 64gb - What port to use?

Can anyone tell me what port should i put my C300 ssd?

Here is the benchmark from CrystalDiskMark:

ICH10R port 0 - 280+ seq. read - pretty sure w/ TRIM

Sata6gb port 0 - 360+ seq. read - i think no TRIM

Is w/ TRIM better?

Use ICH10, TRIM is a must. You would hardly notice a difference between 280 and 360 anyway, except in large file copies.

That's an excellent question. Unfortunately, I have no idea and haven't been able to find anyone who does. Really, the only way I know is to bench the drive when you first install it, remember what it got, then 6 months later test it again. It should bench roughly the same if TRIM is working. If not, your speeds will be reduced.

well, I think you were right mate, as my SSD already lost some read/write speed.I have plugged it into sata2 again

I'm going to buy your same ssd, but I do not have the sata port choice, because I ain't got sata 3! Since I have an AMD motherboard, will I face problems with trim, if I set AHCI Mode from bios? (I got windows 7 ultimate 64 bit). Because I've read that amd AHCI drivers is not avaible for my chipset. So I set AHCI mode from bios, I install windows 7 on it, and I should have trim already working without problems? Thank you.
