Buyer's Remorse

Has anyone ever had a case of buyer's remorse after buying anything? Can be anything tech related, whether it's computer parts, phones and such.

I've had it when I bought another GTX 780 to put use SLI, while the performance jump was great, I couldn't justify the price tag that came with it.

All the time. I'm not a mean person but I do like a bargain. I like to feel like I got something at a good price. Recently I found some brake levers for my bike that I fell in love with, but they worked out quite expensive (£32 instead of the ones I already had or something much cheaper).

It soon passed though :)

I always regret buying any tech whatsoever tbh. Never really regretted any multi GPU purchase apart from 5770 Crossfire which was absolutely broken and I could tell (the runt frame issue) and of course Fury X Crossfire which pretty much did not work at all and even when it did suffered from flickering textures etc.

I wouldn't touch multi GPU with a twenty foot pole now. DX12 basically handed it over to the devs and said "Up to you" and their stance is pretty clear really.

I'm not sure if it's exactly this, but my mate has a REALLY hard time pulling the trigger on anything... Yet he still has loads of money. It's like he does more work than the FBI, CIA and NSA togheter into one specific product, no matter how small or big, to know every little inch of it, before still having a major anal time on actually pressing the buy button.

Let me guess, performance boost couldn't justify the price tag?

lmfao, not fair to blame the booze

No, I barely paid anything for it
It's just terrible BIOS and CPU. I've never experienced such a crap BIOS. EVGA won't get my money again. CPU was also a terrible overclocker.. But I suspect BIOS is the cause.it doesn't listen to anything I tell it.

I seem to be one of those people usually not all the time who buys something and a month later the newer model comes out
And Greenback scientists have discovered a cure for sex it's called wedding cake, and I've been studying people and found out they are all into doggy sex..............it's where the husband sits up and begs and the wife rolls over and plays dead!

The 14 day return policy saves me on the worst mistakes. Recently i'd probably say the 1070, not because it's a bad product, i just don't really use it. I have a GTX 1070 and i play demanding games such as GH3, Quake 3, Dirt Rally, Assetto Corsa and CSS. Really the only thing that has changed is that i now run Assetto Corsa with the reflection setting maxed out, everything else the 770 handled just fine. Shouldn't have assumed that some games which released in 2016 would be good. Always listen to the cynic inside of you.

It's very rare that experience buyer's remorse long term. It's more within the first few days before I get the thing that I regret it. After I've got it, it tends to justify itself.

Mine was getting an XSPC watercooling kit I ended up replacing the Raystorm 750 pump/bayres within a month for a D5 pump

I normally research all my purchases to the nth degree, so when I buy something I know its fit for the purpose that I want if for. What annoys me is that I procrastinate too much because I don't want to make a bad decision. Sometimes by the time I'm ready to buy, the price has gone up...

With me it either goes one of two ways.

1. I have no problem spending my entire budget for a month if I want something enough (bad)
2. I am so broke that I have spent two hours in a sports goods store and came out empty handed, desperately needing trainers/sneakers. (bad also).

There is no middle ground for me. I send my wife the bill money, rent etc (she handles all of the finances) and then I go and spend the sodding lot within about three hours of getting it.

I need to work on that...

I used to be like that, I'd transfer all my bill money into another account then spend the rest pretty much the same day. I stopped it by doing stuff that doesn't impact my finances like that. Right now my time I would spend buying parts and games, I'm doing my IT degree and my Cisco certification. Something like that is worth looking into

Could you elaborate on that? Sorry, don't get it... Asking since I'm in these bad "habits" myself and need to change them.
