So I thought I would spend my time tucked up in bed constructively.

My boss asked me a few weeks ago if would have a go at building a website for where i work.

Ive used my mac to design this lot, saved it as pdf and converted it all to jpg on my pc. Now what i want to do is use a web design program to drop it all into.

I also need to add Google maps to the find us page, and bye a domain.

Can anyone recommend an easy to use web design program, that will be compatible with what Ive made.

I still need to add photos and a gallery page, and menus.

Not sure about what you mean by web design program (Dreamweaver? website theme building software?) but I use Joomla to manage content on websites. I tend to buy ready-built themes then customise them to the clients needs.

There are modules/plugins/extensions/widgets etc. you can add and control using Joomla, its an easy way to manage your website.

You should be able to use it with your website and you could easily try it out as it is open source.

You could create each element in photoshop and then use a tutorial to learn how to add each element with HTML and CSS. It's pretty straightforward. So much support on YouTube for this sort of thing.

Im just trying to find some software that will allow me to drop this strait in, create the links to the pages and launch the site.

Ive brought the domain Know.

Sorted people, Serif WebPlus Starter Edition, is working great and very easy to use. Best of all the full edition is only £31. A few hours and i should have completed my first website

Serif WebPlus that's the name I was trying to remember! Glad you found it.

wordpress?

just customize it to the way you want but you would have to implement you theme IE build it using php and such but by the looks of thins the website you want wouldn't be to hard so you could probably build it within a couple of days that including watching tuts on php/wordpress stuff.

or you could just build it youself using HTML and CSS, if your going to have dynamic content thought like updates and menu changes and things i would go for wordpress and use the CMS that it provides.

EDIT - p.s. i should of finished reading the thread before i posted

I would recommend DreamWeaver, as I am using it myself, or it is also an option to use an online site constructor since the site is going to be small and not that complicated.
