Currently I'm taking my very first steps in the overclocking world in an attempt to see what my 5930k is capable of.
What I do is the following: Set the multiplier, set a core voltage and see if she boots. If I boot into windows I run Aida64 stresstest to see if the oc doesn't crash. I run it for 5mins just for now, I'm not looking for a 24/7 clock but rather a 'what's her max'
If the test passes I either lower the voltage a bit and test it again or raise the clock by 100MHz.
Right now I'm looking to get 4.7GHz stable. I boot into the OS at 1.402V but fail the stresstest after 30secs.
I'm not sure as to where on the chart my cpu is with these numbers. Not golden but maybe.. Average?
