[Build Log] Nyssa

At last the bending process has finished. Took me quite some time and 14 out of my 16 60cm tubes :o the feeling of making a sweet bend is awesome though.

This is how I've done the bends:

I'm not completely satisfied with how the cpu-res tube looks. It's a bit off :/ but that's the tube which took me the longest to make so it'll have to do. Next year I might rerun everything with petg and improve some bends.

Thoughts?

It's getting about time for another update!

I decided to redo that cpu-res tube so I got me a 90degree fitting to get rid off that weird 180 bend in the bottom. Tomorrow that tube will be done and I can finally submerge her ^^

The basement has been done with flex tubing to make my life a hell of a lot easier there. I had to make a little loop with the res-pump tube so it wouldn't kink.

There's another part too to the left side of the rad which has been done with flex tubing (rad-gpu), but looks like I don't have a picture of that. That tube has become the new home of my silver kill coil :D

All of the wiring has been done on the backside as well: all the fans have been connected to their fan controllers, installed a temp sensor, routed the led cables, etc. I'll get a picture of the backside when everything has been cables.
Btw, I got in touch with Pexon for some custom cables with incorporated stealth cable combs. Can't wait for those to arrive! =00=

I finally finished the midplate too, I still had to make a few holes for the pass-through fittings.

Here's some TX love with all the current hate follwed by the 980Ti release! ^_^

One last picture to finish this update, a picture from when I was testing my LED setup by night:

Note that the top fans (the ones positioned under the top dust filter) are also red LED fans for yet another sweet red touch =00=

I'm planning to have everything installed, up and running this weekend. Fingers crossed for no leaks now!!!

Cheers!
Asper

It might, but you'd have a wannabe titan 980Ti :D I could send you one if you'd like once you have your Ti and don't feel like painting it, those shrouds will most likely just sit somewhere hidden in a drawer anyway.

F**** Yes dude!... Haha, this just made me literally fly off my chair and hands in the air ...

And yes, I am getting a 980Ti soon, waiting on AMD to drop theirs for a little more price drop over here before I pull the trigger on it :)

I gotta say that I simply love the clean look of the eye candy part of it all, just the hardware and tubing, no unessecary cables or anything. Just the good stuff and clean, just the way it should be. Love it! :)

Tubing is done!

I do have this odd kink in the final bend though, I wonder if it is acceptable for use or not? Could a more experienced hardline bender give an opinion on this before I submerge her? :)

I have one more 60cm tube left so I could try one more time

Why have something less than perfect - has to be worth trying again dude

If it was me, I'd fix it now, whilst it's relatively easy to do so. If you leave it, you will probably end up regretting it, like Feronix said

Fixed that tube, filled her up, got pretty much all the air out, leak tested, booted, installed.

Guys, let's welcome Nyssa :D I'm actually posting this from my new rig, it feels really amazing creating something like this!

I've already ran a few benchmarks too like valley. I just got blown off my chair when looking at the screen, the fps and the temp readings of the titans.
For now I got, with everything maxed out at 1440p, 8x aa etc and at stock clocks, a max of 151fps, an average of about 90 (got a drop to 30 during the initial black loading screen) and temps of 41 degrees on the cards ^_^

Pictures are soon to follow!

when you say, fixed, I hope you mean replaced :) that kink could cause all kinda of problem and will definitely be a weak spot.

I've ran some test now and everything looks very, very good.

I ran a firestrike test and got a score of 20582 with max temps of: gpu 1 @44, gpu 2 @43, cpu @53, which is, I guess, not too shabby ^_^
Fans were all turned down to 35%, water flow at 2/5

Here are some of the final pictures :)

Still have to do night time photos ofcourse! Oh and I'm eagerly waiting for my Pexon cables to arrive :D

Enjoy

How's my cable management? ^_^ a bit messy, but there were a whole lot of cables to do, more than I had expected tbh
IMG_7240.jpg

Still have to top off the res ofc, but I'm waiting for all the last bubbles to come out.

Now we wait for it to get dark...

That looks preeeeetty sweet!

GPU cables need some cable combs or lacing though :)

I knoooow :o I have a whole bunch of small E22 cable combs, but the CableMod cables are still too thin and the combs won't snap them. That's why I got in contact with Pexon to get me some custom ones with integrated stealth cable combs ;)

Some of the promised nighttime pictures :D

I just love this res! There are still quite a few micro bubbles attached to the double helix

PexonPcs is shipping my cables in two days, it'll be a fine improvement

Release that rog sli bridge Asus! :o

A look from the other side with the white LEDs disabled

Not very well visible, but those are the top fans giving another sneaky red accent ^_^

At the time of this post my water temp is at 29.6 degrees Celcius with an ambient temp of 23 degrees and the rad fans spinning at 400rpm, WICKED :D
