Build log: C70

i was not a member before i started this machine but anything i add i have kept track of
Cool, I ordered a clear window and a dark smoked window. Hopfully I will be able to post up some picks this weekend and figure out which window looks better.

I got some acrylic for the window panels today.
Here is clear

Which do you all think looks the best.

i like it mate how did you secure it on with screws or with foam tape? i prefer the tinted
and something you may want to try which i am doing is im going to paint the grey lining around the window black ... on this case or i may do it silver just dont think that grey goes with anything else on the case

I used the stock screws and the rubber fan grommets as spacers to secure the window panel. I sleeved the cables in grey paracord to match the grey trim pieces on the case.

I like both, but I'm leaning more to the clear since you can see everything.

Thanks, I like both also but I am leaning more towards the tinted window.

LOL! That is cool. Something like that is hard to judge with a picture anyway. If I saw it in person I may be saying, "I'm leaning toward the tinted."

In the end it is yours.

The good thing is that now I have both and can change them out. I think I will try and put an LED in the res to see if it can light up the res enough to see with the tinted window installed.

That sounds good. Looking back at the pics that right side of the widow is dark. Worth a try at least.

well as the pic is of side on the tinted it will appear darker :) and what cables do you mean and when you remove the perspex does the gray bit come off

I am talking about the 24 pin, 8 pin and two 6 pin extension cables. The trim pieces around the window do come off and would be easy to paint.

Looks epic! Think I'd personally go with white LEDs though, goes perfext with the monochrome colourscheme throughout the entire build. It sure does look very good though! :D

Nice. The painted copper really improves the look by a lot imo

i am really liking the red.

Thanks guys, my first choice was to use green but the green LED's I bought here not bright enough. I like the idea of white LED's also but will have to order some because the electronics store did not have any white LED's.

Dude.

This proves that right usage of light actualy can break up a clean build and put the last finnish on it, and make i epic.

That lighting looks so god damn right in there!

I'm not shure about the red light, but the blue light is just awesome!
