Build log: C70

The only difference between the two is painting the space between the heatsinks, right?

The only real difference is I eliminated the forked section. This made cutting the decals easier because this metal film is very easily damaged.

Apply white di-noc on the yellow accents !

And i would keep the standard layout.
Thanks for the suggestion; unfortunately I do not have any di-noc :(
The silver accents will fit right in to the build because the color scheme of the build is black, gunmetal grey with shiny silver fittings.

Today is the day. I will stop folding while I prep the PC for the new motherboard and some minor mods.

Tear down.

yesir, thats des look great, especiallythe accent variants. i know i'll prolly build a
styrene or lexan I/O cover for my maxie boards to 'detail-down some of the
obvious eye-distractions..
but damn, that does look good!

+1
so your convo with B is a plan for this?

Yes, that is the plan. I have ordered the fittings and 2 meters of tubing. Now I just have find out where to get the bender. I am hoping to keep the same basic layout. I like the short runs of tubing and hiding as much tubing as possible.

I booted up the board tonight with a stock cooler just to make sure it posts. It worked well but I did have some concerns about the amount of blue LEDs on the board. I hope there is a way to turn the leds off

Hey there SEBAR!
Have you considered putting nail polish on top op the yellow accents? I think that would be an easy and permanent way to get rid of the yellow :)
EDIT: Nevermind, just saw that you already painted the yellow accents. Still, what do you think of that idea? I think it'll help a lot of people new to building computers.

The top one you can get off, in the bios ECO mode and set then to off all the time. ;) - Hope that help :D

That would be a great way to paint a small area like the accents on the MPOWER motherboard. I have used black fingernail polish in the past to cover up odd colors in the cast.

Thanks for the info, I am glad to hear that those LEDs can be turned off. Those suckers where bright when I tested booted the motherboard.

georgous!

how is the GPU management gunna be affected? over the res or slip in between?
if you scuff the sides really hard in an up and down motion, then when painted can
look like a brushed ally. brand new red scotchbrite pads work really well.

The cables will slip in between the GPU and res. I am also going to try and see how the RayStorm looks with the silver on the aluminium insert and either cover up the PSU decal or remove it completely.
