Hi, guys I am starting a new build. This time it will be in a Gunmetal Black Corsair C70. Some on the specs of the system have not been finalized yet but for the most part I will be using the following components.
CPU: 3570K
GPU: GTX 670
PSU: AX650
RAM: Mushkin Blackline Ridgeback 996991
Water Cooling: RX240, EX240, Bitspower Water Tank Z-Multi Res 150, Swiftech DDC pump.

I am still in the beginning stages of planning this build and have not decided on a motherboard yet and still need to figure out what to use for storage. I may also try to experiment with Hard line tubing. In addition to this I will crafting some paracord sleeved extension cables, 24 pin extension, 8 pin extension and two 6 pin extensions.
Well enough talk, time for the first round of pics.

Here is the C70 fresh out of the box.

I've grown to like the C70s quite a lot recently, also I love mushkin ridgeback black I think it is some of the prettiest ram I've ever seen. Nice!

Thanks, I have been using the ridgeback ram for a while now and really like it. Plus it looks kick@ss.
that is the case im doing my rig with :) gunna custom pain parts of it tho :)
Sweet, will you be sharing some pics on the forum?
C70 is a decent case, it's got a great military theme along with it
Plus there is a ton of room inside for some decent water cooling stuff.

Got a small update today, I got some dark gray paracord for the cable extensions. The color matches very well with the gray trim peices around the front panel and side window.

This is the 8 pin extension cable. I did one cable first to try and get the hang of using paracord for sleeving and it turned out nice.

Here is a picture of the 8 pin extension complete.

I will work on getting the rest of the cable extensions done and will be ordering some acrylic to replace the side window.

I am not sure if I should use smoked or clear, what do you all think?

Update: I have been test fitting the hardware in the C70 to get an idea of how my tube routing will be and to see how everything will fit inside. The bottom rad was difficult to fit. luckily the bottom round mesh lines up to offset the rd from the standard mounting locations. I had to move the rad forward and to the side to get the rad in and have room to rout psu cables behind it.

I was able to mount the res to the hdd cage using some motherboard standoffs and a bitspower 120 mount.

Not that bad mate, i'am on the same case right now. Just wait on the last parts and then i just need to paint some thing and then it is build time :D

Completely agree. There's so much tacky looking memory/everything out there these days, but black ridgeback has always been some of my favorite looking stuff of all time.

I also like the previous generation of Corsair Dominator looks wise

And this is the stuff I use

But there isn't a massive list of memory I like the look of. I don't like any sort of gun/knife stuff at all.

Nice touch that you mounted the reservoir to the hdd cage, the cables are nice as well.

Thanks, it just seemed like the best spot the mount the res.

looking good so far... nice job on the cables

Thanks, the cables were a fun little project. I am sold on the paracord sleeving and will most likely buy some different colors and do some more sleeving.

Here is a picture of the tools I made for the cable sleeving.

Update: I have got my loop planned out and have installed everything in the system and got it back up and folding for the time being. When I get a new motherboard I will bring the system back down and start some more mods. I will be getting some additional Enermax fans to make everything uniform, I will also be painting the rads. The exterior modification still has not been finalized but I do have a few ideas I am considering.
