Hi, im in need of an upgrade, as my computer really does suck playing games atm. 12FPS on shogun 2 on medium -.-

anyway, straight to it.

CPU: AMD Phenom X4 955 BE £104 (Overclock to ~3.8ghz quad core) OR I3 550 £97 (Overclock to ~4.4ghz but is dual core)

Motherboard: ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO (AMD) OR ?? (if I get an intel)

RAM: 4GB Patriot Gamer Series (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C7 1333MHz Dual Channel Kit £40

CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212+

Case: unsure at the moment, looking at <£40.

PSU: Coolermaster GX 650W

Hard Drive(NOT NEEDED): have a seagate 320GB which will do for the moment. due to budget will upgrade later.

CD Drive(NOT NEEDED): already have

GPU: Have a 9500GT at the moment, which will needed to be upgraded at some stage (1-2 months). was thinking either 460GTX or 6850.

Operating system (NOT NEEDED): already have Windows 7 Ultimate

Im planning to buy the products within 2 weeks. My budget for the CPU,MOBO,RAM,CPU Cooler,PSU and Case is between £300 and £400. any help, suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Matt

Your e4500 shouldnt be to bad at games realy, its more than likely your 9500gt letting you down,

Personaly id get the graphics card and powersuply first as generaly that gives much better performance gains unless the rest of your system is something like a low end singlecore with 1/2-1gb ram

I was looking at that psu, and bundle for a long time. The only thing i question about this is that its a dual core processor, therefore would the AMD 955 BE be better, especially for the future? thanks

A 460 or a 6850 would be spot on for a budget GAMING rig.

The Aria i3 bundle is pukka, look for the £600 gaming rig I did recently as a guide/article.

i3's EAT amd quads... dont bother with amd... i3 is way better especially at 4.4Ghz
