BSOD Crucial Ballistix Tracer

Hi guys. Been reading forum for couple of weeks after watching a YouTube video.

I recently purchased some new (used) memory from eBay. The guy had good feedback and seems ok. Anyway I purchased 2x 2gb of red crucial ballistix tracer. Now I keep getting blus screen of death and it's telling me my copy of windows is not genuine from time to time.... I switched back to my old ram and it worked as normal again. Have now switched back to tracer and problem persists. I can't seems to run the windows memory diagnostic as when it finishes windows fails to start...any ideas? I don't want to accuse the guy of selling me broken goods....yet. Any ideas would be most welcome. Thanks!

Thanks alot. I tried it and one of the modules is totally screwed. Hopefully crucial will replace them for me! Sorry for being a noob....now how to handle the guy who sold me them, any ideas? He must have know one was dud

Well spoke to crucial and they are going to replace them for me! Result! Plus got another 4gbs in the post today. Gonna install 64bit vista at weekend. I found vista 64 abit unstable when I got it a couple of years ago. I hope it's not anymore

Get it pre-installed with SP2 (the .iso from Microsoft TechNet). Upgrading an OS never seems to be 'clean'.
