BSOD Caused By Xbox 360 Controller! HELP ME!

This is getting so on my nerves right now... I've been trying to figure this problem out since yesterday and even though so MANY got this problem I haven't found a solution. I've Google'd my ass off without good results. ONLY thing I've found out is that it might be MotionJoy that messes it up. I uninstalled it yesterday, but then I came across that I have to remember to check off a thing to delete the software or something which I can't remember if I did or not.

So, whenever I connect my Xbox 360 controller after installing the drivers from Microsoft I get a INSTANT blue screen. I have no idea what to do... Can anyone please help me out here?

Just get a replacement - I don't think a peripheral is going to exactly cripple your psu!

It's not my PSU. That's for sure. Considering I got an Enermax Revolution 85+ 1250W on a 5870 and an i5.

The thing is that it works fine on my brother's computer and my friend's computer, but not mine...? :S

the normal xbox controllers do not work with win7

there is a workaraound driver for them - but it is not 100% compatible

there lies your problem

Are you using the latest version of Motionjoy?

I used to get BSODs using Motionjoy but that was with a PS3 pad but when i updated to the latest version they stopped. I also used a different emulator to get a 360 pad working once called Xpadder or something like that but it's not free but then again you might be able to find a free download for it somewhere

Also try using just the motionjoy drivers without the MS ones because if you are using both that could be causing a BSOD.

Probably a messed up driver.

When you boot, and press F8, then disable the driver verification thingum (can't remember off the top of my head what its called, in then x64 version only though), probably you didn't do that when you installed the driver...

I always had plenty of problems hooking up my PS3 controller, several reinstallations of the driver later, and I didn't have any issue.
