Bottom Mounted PSU with fan facing down when case is in carpet.

its about the air you can get in to the psu.
you can get colder air in to the psu from ooutside the case near the floor.
but carpets trap dust and some of them are fluffy. filling your psu with dust and fluff is not good.

In an ideal world youf psu would be fan down and have great access to nice cool unrestricted air flow.
Carpets however will restruict the air fl;ow and cause dust and fluff to get sucked in to the psu.
So you either want to put something like wood under the pc. or just decide its better to have slightly warmer air and expell some of the cooler air that was going to help cool your other components from inside your system to cool the psu.

its a matter of you mount it the way that is best for your setup..
many people mount fan up just because they think it looks better..

You have been told on this forum AND on another forum,that having the fan facing down will not be a problem as long as there is room for airflow to the fan.

I just change my psu to position with fan going down. First screen was before with fan facing up . I must change something here for improve better airflow or it can be like it is with fan facing down like on second screen?

Either face the fan up, or put the case on a flat piece of wood, like you done in your second picture. It isn't a big deal to have a flat board under the case is it ?

Want better airflow? Get a different case. Its fine either way, if you're having temperature issues change the case.

NO!

You will choke it with the fan facing downwards.

Leave it facing upwards, it makes very little difference to the cases overall air flow.

I will add to my case non reference card Asus Gtx 980 Strix with 2 fans. So question now. Which way of plug PSU will be better,with fan facing up or facing down? Which way should i go ,for better airflow and better GPU temperatures?Damn i am confused. !

There is nothing confusing about it mate, you've either got room under the case for air flow or you haven't, simple, the graphics card doesn't make any difference, really. Like already said, have the psu's fan facing upwards, to stop any dust, or fluff being sucked in of your carpet.

If you want the fan down, just make sure you have enough room under the case for air to get in, without sucking all the crap up with it, if there isn't enough room, just put something flat between the case and the carpet, if you haven't got any wood you can use thick cardboard, or even a couple of books under each end.

Imagine if you were lying down, with your mouth about an inch of the ground, how would you be breathing, not very well, and probably quite hot after about half an hour. So just think what the power supply would be like trying to power the pc, and breath at the same time, it wouldn't be pretty.

But at the end of the day, it is your pc, and if you want it to blow up, you carry on, you've come for help, and you'v e been helped, your just not listening to anyone dude. What people are telling you is for your own good mate, please take it in.

You don't have to do much thermodynamics to realize that slightly above ambient air has significantly better cooling properties than dust and carpet fluff.
