Bodybuilding/Powerlifting

See don't think like that "Dissapointed in myself" it's not worth getting down about, I was the same when I stopped, I tried everyday but couldn't get into it and I got angry, dissapointed and just fed up, I was like that for a good month or two and then I just stopped and was much happier and more myself, okay I did gain some weight but then I got onto these 15min workouts and come right down, made up and whilst I' am looking to get back to the weights, I'm not going to let it bother me.

The doctors are just shocking, I just don't know how they have their job. My Sister lived next to a private doctor and he said there was a few that are good and go on the training courses and stuff but the others in our area don't turn up and can't be arsed.

We need to get some weight measurements and BF% figures going on

I'll go first, Currently sitting at 97kg/213 pounds and 9% bodyfat :)
Belated addition to the fray since not many indulged you. :p

I'm 1.73m tall, 80kg and around 13% bodyfat (according to the caliper method).

How does one calculate their bodyfat?

I bought myself these that come with a chart -
9k=

Plus in work we have an electronic version, Both are literally within 1% of each other :)

Also this is pretty accurate :)

Buy some fat callipers, a few quid of eBay, should come with instructions, you pinch your skin fold over your waist/hip until its tight and the line meets the opposite, check the instructions of the table, your age plus the reading on the calliper and you get your fat percentage. :)

Surprisingly one of the most accurate ways to measure outside of the electronic route.

Whats that, not heard of one? Many years ago there was a method (its bullshit but I was like 13/14) to hold a machine that reads your pulse, do some sort of mathematic withs your height and weight and you get the number. Sounds shit to me.

I don't think hes talking about the water tank method, its a thingy where you hold your thumbs on two sides, input your age, weight and height and its supposed yo give you your bf %, I have one I got for £3 from china and shows 23% while looking at my abs in the mirror lol.

something like this

LOL yeah that'll be the sort of thing I mean, whilst looking at your abs. Told you they are crap.

Judging from that chart I'd be somewhere around 10?

My ribs still show quite clearly but most these blokes have quite a bit more muscle than I do :p

Yours will be low. :) I saw your page before Dicehunter about you selling your weights, I've already got an olympic set but if anybody is after some £50 he is asking for is so worth it, weights are expensive and they don't loose value as its just pure iron.

I was hoping you had some squat stands. :(

True, so frickin cheap, too bad I dont live anywhere close as I would've gotten them in a heartbeat, I might get 2 x 10kg plates, 2 x 5 kg plates and 2 x 20kg hex dumbells for my home gym.......140eu ........... :(

I wanna know the name of the girl who posed for the 15-17%
Doesnt look like she squats thou, but i can change that ;)

Deadlift

1x12 60kgs warm up
1x8 80kgs
1x1 100kgs
1x3 100kgs
1x1 105kgs
1x6 60kgs

This looks better and you'll get better results doing something like this. Take as long a break as you want while doing your 3x3 or 3x5 no more than 10 minutes though.

1x5 @ 20kg
1x5 @ 40kg
1x5 @ 60kg
3x3 (max 3x5)@ 100kg This is where you get your gains, anything else and you might as well not dead lift.

1x1 @ 105kg (not needed)
1x6 @ 60 kg (not needed)
Bench
1x12 60kgs
1x8 70kgs
1x5 80kgs

Seem to be stuck at 80 .. more my arms than chest .

Do close grips and incline bench mid week (or half way between your next bench session). You need to do volume on your working weight to increase your bench.

If you want me to write you a 12 bench program I can. I was benching 80's in prep for my last comp in December got it to 110kg in that 3 month period.

AS for body fat percentage IDGAF I'm somewhere in the region of "put down the chocolate bar fat-boy" and "do some cardio fat-boy"
