Literally took me 2 months but at least I've now passed the 120 pound mark

Guys i need some advice, i just cant get the motivation to train anymore, i had to skip a week due to working 20 days in a row became quite tired and run down so thought training would be a bad idea! during that time i kinda succumb to my old smoking habbit.
Had the weekend to chill and relax, got off the smokes again, and went to go gym literally 14 minutes ago, sat in the car and couldn't even bring myself to start the car! Ive noticed my sleep pattern is getting shitter and shitter day by day.
ive started using an app to monitor my sleep!! this is what it shows!
i dunno whats wrong just feel so shitty all the time!
This can be down to a number of factors, Nutrition, Stress, Women, Work, Sleep, The list goes on.
Make sure your nutrition is spot on, This can have a MAHOOSIVE effect on your mood and general motivation, Don't look in the mirror and dont step on the scales either, Another 2 useful facts I picked up along the way.
Get a picture in your head of what *Not who !* you want to look like and just do it, Get up off your arse, Pull yourself out of this rutt and get back to the iron.
Trust me when I say the road you might end up going down is not a pretty one as I've been there, Train and prove to yourself you can do it !
It's a shit one Kambo, I'm the same with weights, I really can't be bothered coming home from work, and getting the weights out in the cold and wet. But for me I think it's just I'm bored of that style of training. I enjoy doing this HITT training, it's not easy but you know in 15 minutes your done, before you ever do it you are skeptical because it's just 15 minutes but when you see the results whether you can be bothered or not you just get it done.
I think you could start by looking at your nutrition sure, how long do you usually spend in the gym?
Cheers man, think ill give it another week, my diet could be an issue i haven't been eating as clean as what i normally would!
normally in the gym for about 1.5 hours 3/4 days and an hour for 2 days
You could shorten your time, when I worked in one me and my partner between us both got it done in no more than 40mins. 30 was usually the time, it was hard, it was just bouncing round the gym, its surprising how much I grew and my strength gains from the short time but it's the best way, I couldn't be bothered doing long workouts now.
considering the routine, cant cut it any shorter most of that time is recovery!
Too much rest not enough curlin!
I'd just start with your diet then, but surely it can't have that much of an impact on you that you don't want to train at all. Is anything on your mind in your personal life which is also affecting your sleep?
i just dont sleep well man, never have you could drop a pin on carpet at 4am id be up like a shot!
Odd, but it's happened to us all were we've had a spell of sleeping shit, annoying but hopefully it'll pass. I'd really consider just taking a bit of time out to rest and enjoy other things. Sounds to me like it might do you good, the training will come back but it'll get worse if you keep trying and you just can't do it.
this has been going on for years, i went to the docs about it, and they're like its fine its a phase itll pass, 4 years on and i sleep like poo still!
Doctors tend to know nothing other than "Oh you have a cold". The amount of times they get shit wrong, i.e oh here is some ezcma cream to my Mum, turns out it was cancer, f'in idiots.
I'd go back and get a bit nasty with them, tell them to pull their finger out their arse and get you mended. Maybe have a look at under/over active thyroid, it's probably only common within a certain age group, but it's the first thing I thought of since my Mum has under and it makes her sleep shit as well. Maybe anything similiar you can thing of within your family that might be hereditary?
I'm in the same boat.. ultra light sleeper and haven't slept right in about 6 years.. have just gotten used to it but it does drag you down every now and again.

maybe this is a lower point for me! man before new years i was a animal nothing could stop me, walk/bike/driving to gym in all sorts of shit weather! and now any excuse to sit at homeim disappointed in myself!
So true, I had really bad stomach cramps mid 2010, Went to the doctor 3 times whilst I was in england and the doctor just said "You go now, It nothing, Take aspirin, It go on its own, You go now".
The next month I was working in germany where I collapsed from severe stomach pain and was rushed to hospital, It turned out that my gall bladder had nigh on 40 stones in it and my pancreas was necrotic and if it was left a few more days I would of died from blood poisoning.
So yeah, Doctors in England = Grade "A" horse shit.
Maybe your just burned out, I see this all the time with new clients who take on too much.
Do yourself a massive favour and take 1 month off and in that month only do cardio, 20 minutes a day, No more, No less and eat right.
And after that month is up you will of gained definition and kept what muscle you gained from training if you keep your protein intake up.
I've done this with a few clients and it has worked, Definition is a game changer![]()
