Bodybuilding/Powerlifting

Resurrecting this thread for some advice.

Anychance anyone has run into shoulder troubles whilst doing weights above shoulder?
I get this horrible pain in the centre back of my shoulder and it completely shuts me down, been going to gym for 2 months for 4 days a week without fail and this has suddenly popped up.
Im not sure how you feel about chiropractors. I frequently get shoulder pain from pinched nerves in my neck. I have had aching shoulder with pain radiating down to my elbow, quick adjustment and pain gone within a few hours. Something to look into. Mine always happened on overhead shoulder press, a slight imbalance from left side to right side and neck would go.

Yep :)

I broke my personal record on the Thursday just gone, Deadlift 5x5 with 200KG, Taken me a few years to work up to that but I felt beastly afterwards :)

Jesus well done... 5x5 deadlifts with 200kg is indeed beastly.

I thought I was good a few weeks ago when I managed to pull 170kg for a set of two. I do only weigh about 74kg though. ^_^

Thanks bud :)

I weigh 105KG currently at 15% bodyfat so I have a small advantage :p

Well Just got up and weighed myself, Currently at roughly 100KG and around 10% bodyfat, This is my comfort zone.

Gonna make breakfast in 30 minutes but first it's 20 minutes of cardio followed by a shower, Breakfast, Client emails and then a few hours of chest training :D

My comfort zone is the sofa now #fatboy

Well at currently 10'ish percent bodyfat I finally made it, 21.3 inch biceps/triceps dry i.e no pump, Didn't even shoot for it on purpose, Just been training like a beast the last 12 months more so than previous years, Was just curious and measured ^_^

21.3inches? That's it?
I was that when I was 12^_^

In all seriousness that's impressive. I'm only 170ibs/77kg but my arms are 15inches. Not bad considering my weight and height i'd say. They look big but I know they only do because of my weight/height. They really aren't that big and certainly look puny compared to you lol
My only goal is 16inches. After that I don't care. I won't bother trying to catch up to you:D

Well this year I want to get a good head start on getting nice and cut for summer, Doing 40 minutes on my stationary bike in the morning as soon as I get up and 20 in the evening after work and training, Altogether doing roughly 104 miles per week with decent resistance, Need a new seat though, My ass has no padding so it is REALLY saw at the end of the cycle.

Should be around 200 pounds when I get super lean :)

Wish I could even hit 200 pounds lol
I aim for 185. I got a long way to go though. I was about 170 but got sick for about 2 week around Thanksgiving so I dropped down to 160. It took me 8 months to go from 160 to 170 yet only 14 days to lose it all. Kinda don't want to even try again

Get working on them glutes then!

I hope your not one of these light bulb body builders who have big upper chest and tiny legs :D

You can't lose 10 pounds of muscle mass in 2 weeks, What you lost was likely a few pounds of muscle, Fat and water weight.

Any muscle you lost is easily put back on as the base is already there.

Luckily I have naturally big legs, I train my legs once per week for around an hour, They grow quick so I don't go stupid heavy on them but just enough to stay in proportion to my upper body :)

By "my ass has no padding" I mean it has very little bodyfat, I could crack a walnut with this thing :p

You'd be surprised how quickly your body can lose muscle. You start to lose strength in 2 weeks if you stopped working out(that is you completely stop and don't do any strength training).

But yes I did lose quite a bit of muscle because doing my previous workouts is considerably harder even now that I am fully recovered. I am almost back to my previous sick workouts though since as you said it's easier to regain muscle than to build it up.

I don't doubt you really did but you must have been seriously ill, Last time I lost considerable muscle mass was when I was in hospital for 4 weeks and didn't move and was only on a drip, Pancreatitis and a necrotic gallbladder FTW ^_^
