Board and heat issues

Is it possible, that MB cousing really high CPU temps?

My rig is in signature. I am only running my q6600 at 1.2V, 3GHz and the temps are crazy! Like 48-50C idle, 58-63C load. Now you might think i have a ****ty cooling. Well, lets see. Noctua NH-U12P with 1 fan, thermal paste applied (AS5), one 203mm front intake fan, two 203mm top exhoust fans, one 120mm rear exhoust fan and two support intake 120mm's on HDD cage.

Now my MB is notorious for very hot running NB. Could it affect my CPU as well? Or is it just this chip, that is running hotter than others?

I am considering to buy new mb, is it still worth it for relatively old socket. If so, which one would you recommend me, considering i will overclock and i need good cooling. DDR3 RAMs would be great too.

I heard those are great boards - GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P, ASUS P5Q3 DELUXE, ASUS RAMPAGE FORMULA (sorry cant post links)

It might be worth reseating ur noctua

Two top exhausts - turn one off it might be affecting airflow.

Remember that its summer and temps can rise.

there can be a thing of to many fans, all those fans are competing for air to move, make sure that enough air is getting in and not going straight out before going over the components.

My q9450 at 4ghz idles at about 31c with a scythe mugen/infinity

Thats super low. Are you using tjmax 100?

I'd like to believe I am not complete noob, when it comes to airflow and stuff, i tried to "tune" my cooling setup. Turned off one of top exhoust fans, added 2 120mm's on HDD cage etc.

Here is a pic: (the top exhoust fan is disabled now, since it exhoust lots of fresh /unused cool air for no reason)
