Blu-Ray software

So today I bought an LG Super Multi Blue drive for $50 at my local Frys Electronics. My issue is that the Cyberlink software it comes with to play Blu-Rays is GARBAGE! It wont detect my 6990 so it wont play any blu-ray. Is there any free b-ray software out there, I do not want to pay $50 for software just to play a freaken blu-ray. And if their is non, send me a link so I can pirate it.

the cheapest option is WinDVD Pro 2010 by Corel

unfortunately there is NO FREE app for playing BDROMs

EDIT: even I am not allowed to write one - copyright infringement laws etc...

i have all the code to write one - i just cannot use it legally

i believe that windows media center (win7...NOT Media Player!!) will play blu rays as long as all the codecs are installed (what you did by installing the cyberlink stuff). try it!

I hope you mean from someone as a gift.

I'll be honest, no I did not. BUT that does not mean I will not pay for it later. The reason I "got it for free" another wink, was because the 30 day trial version I got of it did not work. So before dropping $80 i wanted to know it would work. I will be purchasing it next pay check which would be the end of the 30 day trial. I do this often with expensive software but I still ALWAYS pay for it. I don't steal, I do have morals, and I support companies who do a good job, and this is great software so far.
