Congratulations to you both.

The competition was very tight and picking the winners was an arduous job. I think we can thank Mr. King though, Jim. :)

The boards will be shipped with TNT first thing Monday morning to the addresses on your competition forms.

Once again, congratulations! :)

Thanks Kempez for greetings..

Anyway I've sent a question to Jim and to -VK- with one request on this contest..

So hopefully I'll get the reply from either one of them until Monday.

Cheers for the congrats guys:)

Would it be possible to find out which of my ideas was chosen as the one Asus liked best?

I can start buying some other kit now I know what motherboard I'm getting for the new build. I was originally waiting for the rampage so I could run xfire 3870x2's so does anyone know if this is possible with the blitz? Do the X2's work in 8x8 or is it 16x16 only?

Should be fine mate.. its all driver dependant so you will just have to wait for them or get some beta ones.

the blitz works on 16x, 8x as its got the crosslinx chip

IIRC it works on 16x 4x if there's only one card in there and 8x 8x if you're running crossfire. I believe the crosslinx chip splits the primary PCI-E in half.

I just checked again in my CPC... the crosslinx adds an extra 4 to the motherboard so its 16,8 rather than 16,4...

I think CPC made a booboo....

CrossLinx Technology

Delivering better game play without the bottleneck of x4 solutions

Crosslinx is an unique technology utilizing a dedicated controller to optimize PCIe allocation with dual x8 lanes. Crosslinx eliminates the graphics data bottleneck found in other x16, x4 solutions. The result is unmatched graphics performance for smoother gameplay and maximum benchmark potential.

Gratz to the winners, it will be nice to see what you have come up with. I am the same as Rast in this case, did not enter as i was too busy sorting other issues out.

Mobo arrived.

Box was a bit battered and missing the driver CD/Stalker/3dMark06(ex review model?). Not had chance to test the board yet but it looks ok.

Many thanks once again to Asus and OC3D:).
