BF3 PC beta available today, here is how to get it..

Ok, so the BF3 beta is supposed to come out today sometime (29th).

So here is how and where to get it.

First you will need to download the EA ORIGIN client. To do so just click HERE. DL and Install it.

Next, log into the Origin client with your EA account ID and PASS or click on the option to register a new account.

this will take you to the ORIGIN site, You will want to click on the FREE GAMES tab at the top. Then download the BF3 beta when they put it up today sometime. I just came from there and it is not up just yet. But you might as well get your Client download and setup out of the way.

See you on the battlefield.

PS. The site says about the BETA.... THERE WILL BE NO CAP ON HOW FAR YOU CAN RANK UP OR WHAT YOU CAN UNLOCK!

I haven't played much because of work and this is really the first time I've played an fps online. My old computer was absolute crap and would only run the most basic of games, plus I wasn't a big fan of them until I saw the BF3 trailer. I thought I would give the multiplayer aspect a try and I am finding it really difficult to get any kills.

I had the problem you had I just did a restart then loaded the game through Origin and it worked.

Have you tried just starting the game?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3 Open Beta

I got the error could not locate path or something like that after it had downloaded and finalized, you might have to install PB from the BF3 folder as well it's called pbsvp in there.

yep tried that still get the same error of windows cannot access the file, haven't tried installing pb seperately though cheers for the heads up will give it a go lol

There are limitations to what you can unlock, i can't use the mortar gagdet as it says "NOT IN THE BETA"

it says they have updates to battlelog everyday but i do hope they do a software update so maybe i can get mine working and it stops the glitching that people are complaining about

mine has gone well bad latly stuttering when looking around artifacts etc they never happend when i first got it
