Hmmmmm i wounder if i can swap mid game hmmm as in when flying use xbox controller and when not use keyboard and mouse, am guessing this is the case?

yeah you can do that, both control methods work concurrently

if you want to be really boss you could even do a controller and mouse combo lol

I think generally the keyboard is used to fly jets.

The mouse sensitivities across vehicles on BF3 are all over the place IMO, unless I'm doing something completely wrong. But tank turrets for example turn extremely fast, too fast to use.

i have my the up, down, left and right keys on my keyboard for flying jets. works very nice for me and the left ctrl is set as afterburner with X for flares. W and S are set for throttle up and down

do you not get the problem where you aim above / below the target because of the on/off buttons of keyboards?

I fly (well, untill I sold my rig ;p) using mouse + kb and I got quite good at it.. in jets I usually got a k/d ratio of about 3 using mouse + kb. I've got the X360 controller hooked up aswell but I don't like it for flying in BF3.

Nope no problems at all, its all fine. The only problem is that i need more practice in jets, if i don't play BF3 for a while i forget everything

i honestly thort it would have at least 1 comment now saying "My mum can fly better then that" or somehting along thoese lines, but thats why i used the name just some noobs gaming for fun really

and yea am the same i forgot how sluggish the Russian chopper is whilst turning and kept on just ramming stuff.

Does anyone here use the space bar to pitch up? I find it useful since I don't like moving my mouse a lot so it is a lot of dragging & picking-up-and-dropping-back-at-the-bottom.

i love the game but i think they have screwed the choppers to get any speed having to practically dive down to the ground to built forward speed sucks and the wierd eng rpm warning and beeper what is that for. i have W held in like im holding a bandage round a stab wound and then i blow up. i was ace at bfbc2 choppers. it makes me angry as heck

i dont know if you know but they have recently patched the choppers, they take less dmg from jets now i think. i know what you mean about the speed of the choppers but i think they may have patched some stuff to do with that also. they made them more agile apparently and since you dont loose lock when someone flairs means you can kill jets with less hassle.

it sorted alot of the gripes i had with the game

nice one. ive been out of action for the last month waiting for aria to replace my rIVe so i shall be checking these updates when i get back up and running but if what you say is true i shall be one happy spawn camper.

not really i dont spawn camp and my stats are pretty crap because i was playing it with the box of a msi gtx56oti 2gb as the table. and it slid about like mad lol
