Best Z77 motherboard

Hey guys, I still haven't decided what motherboard to get.
I had a really difficult time with my old motherboard that I bought last year, ASUS Rampage III Extreme, it was a terrible board...
I don't want a bad board this time, I lost a lot of money on that board and it died :(
I'm about to buy the Sabertooth Z77 but I want to think about this a little more before committing.
What is the best Z77 motherboard in terms of durability, reliability, value for the money, overclocking, overall performance etc...
I DO NOT want extra features like on board Audio, expensive SLI chips, extra useless (to me) features that I'll never ever use etc... I just want a solid Z77 board for about $250 :)

MSI probably do the best Z77 boards for performance/value.

The G45 has everything you need without all the extra useless features you're talking about. May as well save yourself money and get that. If you fancy spending a little more get the GD55 or 65 - but then you are basically paying for added features which you may not use.

I'd also just like to add - don't put your specs in your sig unless you actually have the parts. It just confuses people and makes people think it's more of a 'dream rig' than you actually having everything - and therefore puts people off helping you

Fixed :)
I'll look into MSI's

I read so many articles and reviews and apparently Asrock Z77 Extreme6 ($179) and MSI GD65 ($200) are the best.

Don't go for an ASrock board - nothing necessarily wrong with them, but they aren't as big as MSI, Asus or Gigabyte - so support and stuff won't be as good.

All the MSI series are good - they're all built the same, only difference is features - not really any difference in quality. If you aren't interested in features, then you won't really see any difference between the GD65 and the G45 - so you may as well save money.
If it were me though - I'd probably get the GD65 anyway, just so I could play around with the extra features a little

I'm going for a black and white rig (white tubing) so MSI will look ugly because of the blue.
You know what, f*** the looks, I might get MSI with black tubing.
I already have the rad, pump, res, all i need is a waterblock and tubing.
Every reviewer says the MSI is near perfect motherboard :D but some people say the sabertooth is as good, but I have to pay $50 for "thermal armour" which isn't worth it.

Nice board, however, the shop I'm buying from doesn't sell it.
I'll ask the to get it for me.
I live in Sydney so it is hard to buy stuff here...
If they can't get it, I'll go with the GD65 with black tubes

Ok, I'll wait :D
Can I paint the yellow bits with a permanent black marker or does that void the warranty?
It would be perfect if it's all black!!

not sure about warranty but I know you can take the yellow parts off the mPower. They're just little "things" stuck over the actual heatsinks.

Yea the GD-65 is decent apart from aesthetics (atleast for you) it's blue accents and also the board has brown tracers running everywhere. Not black by any means to look at.

The PCB used for the mPower is amazing.
mPower > Sabertooth

MPower is the nuts.. i plan to use gold leaf foil to cover the piss yellow stripes.
always love a black (not dark brown) PCB. id go to EVGA again, but the
Z77 FTW has those dang red pci slots, the B75 looks great, but not up
to features, for me. MSI MPower is mighty powahful!!

Make a thread showing us how you make the gold foil mod :D
I'm thinking about going with a black and gold rig instead of black and white :)
Black tubing with gold fittings, and waterblock, and this board off course.

Is there a shop that sells this board and ship to australia? the only one that has it is Newegg but they dont ship to AU :(
I really can't wait to get it, literally the best Z77 Board.
I hate the looks of the X79 version though, the bullets are ugly and childish.
If I go black/gold rig, I might keep the yellow things, they're almost gold :D
