Best Twitch Streaming Software?

Hey guys, just wondering what the best Twitch streaming software is at the moment.

I have never tired to stream before, so I really don't have much of a clue ATM.

I have seen OBS and Xsplit mentioned, but I really don't know what to try TBH, needs to work on both AMD and Nvidia GPUs as I change over regularly.

I really like OBS, it supports openCL and it makes a huuuuge difference regarding encoding speed! And when you want to switch to NVIDIA (because opencl on nvidia is kinda meh) you can use the intel HD graphics for the encoding and that's also going to help things a bit when it comes to cpu usage and encoding speeds.

Jump on Valkias stream and ask him, Mark has helped soo many streamers get set up and running on twitch he even hosts streams when he's off line too.

OBS with x246 is king, anything that uses quicksync or the encoders on GPUs is going to need more bandwidth for the same quality, hence you'll be over the 2000kbps twitch guideline. x246, 2000kbps, 720p, 30fps is the way to go for streaming.

If you're not doing it for the viewers and just want an archive of whatever you're playing, then go ham with 720p/60fps@~4000kbps or 1080p/30fps. But pretty much always x246 will be the way to go, unless you're on a potato... which almost nobody here is :P
