best performing i7 block.

need a bit of advice to make up my mind...

which case would be better for my i7 system, haf 932 or cosmos s?

i will be water cooling

thx in advance much any help will be much appreciated?

Can say the HAF932 is pretty good, but you'll have quite a job keeping it dust free. Sound is also an issue there because it's as open as cases get. It can fit a 360mm in the roof without any mods though.

Haven't got any experience with cosmos s or LiLi's, but I think TTL can help you with that :p

hmm never thought about a lian li...

anybody else able to add anything?

anybody know if these have ever been tested and compared with one another?

cheers

monkey7 i will have a similar setup to yourself:

Intel core i7

gigabyte ex58-extreme

ocz blade pc3-16000

gtx 280 oc2 - soon to sli

thermaltake toughpower 850w

case? with water cooling

monkey how are you cooling your i7 to get 3.88?

also on your motherboard is it possible to use the pci slot below the pci 16x once a gfx has been installed?

cheers m8

3.88 wasn't exactly my most stable, and my 24/7 is 3.2gHz because it's quite a hot bugger.

You cannot use the PCI slots directly below the graphics card. Nearly every modern graphics card has a dual slot cooler, basically only the 4850 and below have single slot stock coolers.

My i7 is cooled by a noctua U12P SE1366 cooler and the two noctua fans it came with. Strill want to replace that with a 360mm WC loop though.

im gonna go ahead and get the haf 932, thx for the all the input.

monkey what voltage are you using to get your clocks?

cheers

öhm... Might have to check that to be sure but can't reboot right now.

From memory:

vCore 3.2gHz: 1.25

vCore 3.7gHz (max stable, 24/7 in the winter): 1.35

1.64 vDimm, 1.35 vVTT and don't remember the smaller, less important voltages.
