I perosnally wouldn't buy the Intel Core i5 2550K as it has only got an extra 100Mhz stock core speed and doesn't have the iGPU which is handy "if" anything goes wrong ....

That said are you sure you want to stick with the Intel p67 chipset rather then the Intel Z68 chipset? The ASUS P67 Sabertooth is a great motherboard and the one I would most likely pick for myself out of the Intel P67 chipsets, but the ASRock P67 Extreme 6 Intel P67 will give you more bang for your buck and more connections.

I would personally would still go with the Intel Z68 chipset and would look at the MSI Z68A-GD65-G3, Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD4, Asus P8Z68-V GEN3 or the Asus P8Z68-V LX if you wanna save a litte cash and the ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3. The ASRock has the most features but I don't think your ever use them all.

But at the end of the day the choice is your

Sabertooth is a cracking board. I have first hand experience screwing around with it, and other than the heat shield it's a board that makes a lot of sense.

just remember if its a p67 you will need a bios update to enable the new cpu support otherwise you wont be able to use it at all.

i think the sabretooth is the best of the p67 boards but its old, and tbh as are the z68 now with z77 so close.

i picked up a z68 d3 b3 for now as they are cheap and then i will be getting a z77 when they are out so i can drop an ivy chip in later and have all the features, not sure i could tell anyone to do anything else atm with my hand on my heart you know.

and said that I would choose the MSI Z68A-GD80 MSI (G3)

it´s a very good board! capable of giving high overclock stable levels and at the +/- the same price as P8Z68 PRO and UD5!

Also it´s a Gen3 board!
