As above really , I've got the silver arrow cpu cooler , fitted onto an MSI Mpower motherboard . But the 2 outer fans have to be mounted up a little to miss the northbridge and the ram dims .
So I'm thinking change the 2 140 outer fans to 120's . You might be thinking it will look odd , and not perform as well , but the 140's stick out from the cooler anyway when they are fitted normally . Also the 140's have 120mm fan clip spacing . It might even perform the same , Cos looking at other coolers the fans all look to be smaller , or the same size as the fin array so all the air be produced blows through them .
But with the silver arrow air is being blown out around the top and bottom , all I can think it is doing is cooling the actual pipes top and bottom . Or am I missing something altogether in the design ?
I'm looking at the Enermax fans mainly because of the black and silver color , that I'm aiming for. I've seen a few builds with them on rads , but never coolers .
I should mentio the Enermax I'm looking at are the uctb12 or the uccl12.
