I'm having another crack at the X6 class in PCM05. Bit more tweaking and I think 40K possible but this chip won't run past 5.1G.

Not sure where else to improve other than web page rendering. If I can get 40-50 pages, that'll bump me up to around 43K and a new X6 WR.. well until SteveRo runs it with his 7 Acards lol. My 3930K won't run any higher than 5.1G air, water or DICE.

What I have noticed is the X79 chipset is worse in RAID 0 than Z68 and Z77. Approx 100MB/s extra at the same clocks with Z68/Z77 on the Virus Scan test.

I'm only running 2x Crucal m4 64GB SSDs in R0. I have a 3rd one but can't use it since the boards have 4 SATA 6GB/s ports but split into two by two seperate controllers - Intel & Marvell. Need to decide if a LSI 4-port RAID card will be worth the money over Acards.

Did a quick test test with my q6600 on dice.

540 mhz is about max fsb and 4649 mhz is max on dice.

Not bad for an old B3 q6600
