It's nothing to be proud of really. We need there to be a big team in the UK, and with BT disbanding it kind of messes things up a lot

I don't want to comment on what I have heard, but it seem's the UK scene is up in the air at the moment!
We are in essence the highest ranked stable uk team, but I do not wan't to hold that title while there are talented guys working hard at BT. Talking to the guys, I know we wish BT all the best, an I hope we can group back together as a united kingdom and and place in the country cup. Im planning on doing the wprime and pcmark entrant.
I think one of the problems was the site was not properly moderated, far far too much snobiness. If people were friendlier towards each other then half the problems wouldn't be there. I’m not surprised baz threw in the towel. The amount of shit he put up with was unreal.

I cannot see BTUK returning any time soon and it may well be lost forever. It's a horrible shame considering how much I learnt from the chaps there. They were the foundation of my overclocking addiction and I have to thank them for their help.
I was lucky enough to make friends with some of the high ranked players in the team and they are very friendly and all enjoy a good joke so I guess it depends who you are/how you come across to them.
I don't know what happened there as I was away from the board for well over six months due to quitting from the benchmark scene. I heard various things from a few members who I keep in contact with and they all say pretty much the same thing.
So, technically, we are now the top UK team. However, it wasn't earned... if you can see where I'm coming from?

survival of the fittest, humans didnt earn the right to be the alpha species we lucked into it. as it stands we lucked into this but it changes nothing as we will keep benching what we have and not worry about others because its not what we are about. past 12 months we aint cared what others have done, we have gave props where warranted but thats it.
its always sad when things like this happen, and while i dont know the ins and outs there has been rumors about the unrest in the bt camp far a while. i know i would welcome anybody joining oc3d who shares my interest in punishing hardware into submission as i know everybody else here would (and has) too.
like empires bench teams come and go but super pi is for ever, on my pc that is quite literal
