Bench Team Chat.

But as the Hwbot point system works,we will gain some of the teampoints made by other members, with same hardware.PCTwin and rasmus66 would likely gain not all,but some of the teampoints.
Have no plan to leave the oc3d hwbot team whatsoever.

That is true but it will still be a massive chunk of points taken out of our total :/ glad to hear you plan on staying, you have pretty much been the sole supplier of points recently, i know i can't do much until i get a pot and a rampage extreme, then i should be bringing in a shed load of points. Got a lot of dual cores here which need to be benched, but the only 775 board i have is a 4core-dualsata. I'm more about getting loads of team power points to move the team up the leaderboards, since i can't really afford to buy high end gear until i get a better paying job.

There is a bunch of hardware-points waiting for you, when you go subzero with 775

Exactly, loads of chips to choose from and they are all pretty cheap to acquire too!!!!!! Q6600 are the easiest source of points ever when going sub zero and they are available on ebay for a pretty decent price now too!!!! The 200th best score in WPrime 32M is worth 14.4 hardware points and around 18 team hardware points. That all adds up pretty quick and i think i will be able to do much better than that, i usually get the best hardware scores with my hardware and air cooling so i am pretty confident going into sub zero. Looking forward to being able to afford it too. Either need a better paying job first or a few extra hours a week at my current job. Got loads of kit for most sockets here dating back to socket A (462) just nothing for 775 or newer for intel. Could do with a decent AM2 board as well to bench my many Athlon 64 cpu's on. Have got a cracking ram kit that can hit cas 3 at 850ish Mhz and can do at least 1350Mhz!!! That was the limit of the board i tested on and not my actual kit so looking forward to pushing that :)

Sorry guys, I have indeed left as of tonight. I've promoted Eddy and Ras to captain - I'm sure you guys can look after things very well here.

I've joined Aria as it's a no brainer right now for me. This is the company I work for.

I'll be around still - no stranger!

Good luck to you guys with the team, been looking around the aria forums and it looks like you've got a good team there, lots of people who are very interested in benchmarking. Congrats on over 2000 TPP by the way, that is an insane number!!!!

Looks like a half decent kit then, but these are gunna be the 4GB sticks and not the 8GB ones, surely then the 4GB sticks can only be better????

small error with the team power points i think, either that or i have gained a substantial amount of TPP in a day, like 500 or so :P

Think its corrected now,you now have 279,13p.
But some fine work there finding points where no one else noticed them
Have them coming ^_^ Its also fine for hardware cups and medals.

Complete accident but thank you ^_^ with a product code of ADXB22OCK23GQ i thought i had bought a II x2 220 but clearly not :P Didn't even know of the chips existence. I have a motherboard here which isn't down on the list either so i will collect some points from that too on Monday. Also i might be going sub zero a lot sooner than expected, can't say too much yet but it will all become clear soon :)

Both.Will be doing some 3dmVantage,superpi,wprime32m-1024m,pifast.
And if i have enough DICE,maybe some other benchmarks too.
3930k is supreme,doing 3dmark vantage benchmarks.

I assume that you are wanting to take back the crown with your 5970 in vantage??? It shouldn't be too difficult for you to do that if you managed to get 5.3Ghz with your 3930K. What OS are you going to be using for 2D benching, i assume again it will a modded version of windows xp????

My 3930k is worse than i expected. It doesnt respond very well with subzero temps(-62c load,-68c idle),and my TridentX rams doesnt work at all at 2400mhz.Think my cpu is the cause, they work well with the 3930k under water, but not on dice.Worst part is that my 3930k dont respond to higher voltage over 1.6v.Done some wprime improvements, but i need at least 5.2ghz to take the 5970 crown back,i am 400p short .But i still have some 15kg dice,so i will make some other improved scores, but not as high as i hoped for.:(

Edit:Ohh,and i use good old plain w7home-64

That really sucks that the 3930K doesn't respond well to the cold.

Try out the windows 7 iso from this link, it should give you a helping hand in getting the points you need for your 3D Mark Vantage score, might also be worth giving it a go in WPrime too :)

Also i would give the windows xp's a go, the 3D ISO would be good for 06,05,03 and 01 whilst the other is a pretty good OS for 2D benching. I use a slightly different version of XP to the one in the link but it is very similar and it has allowed me to gain a massive advantage with my scores over regular windows 7. The difference is usually somewhere in the region of a 10% increase which is a massive difference when we are talking about milliseconds between 1st and 10th.

BTW you should be able to get close to the 5970 records if you put the 3770K under dry ice and benched 06,05,03 and 01 with it, even aquamark if that tickles your fancy. 6Ghz with that core and the clocks you get with the 5970 should just about be good enough to take the crown for those, if not then a top 3 at least :) (Use the 3D mark XP iso for that)

Edit : your rig is currently good enough to take the 3D Mark 11 performance crown for the 5970, why don't you do that too whilst your doing vantage :)

My 3770k has been subzero, and it does well so,but i need ln2 to go further with it.5.9ghz is max on dice which is pretty good for a 3770k.
Yeah it sucks, but my 3930k it very average.
