Battlefield 4 Experience

well this game has bought to light my CPU overclock isnt as stable as what i thought, guess 12 hours of stress testing wasnt enough

back to the drawing board :(

BUT!!!!

holy jebus i think ive fallen in love with my 780!! everything is maxxed out EVERYTHING and it doesnt miss a beat, even when using shadow play, wish i could get actul FPS but 64bit doesnt allow afterburner to work

Playclaw 5 trial or just use the console command:

PerfOverlay.DrawFPS 1

type it in every time or save it as"user.cfg" in the same folder as the .exe.instant fps monitor in the top right side of the screen.

Use the console commands, hit the key under escape and type perfoverlay.drawfps 1
Then I think to disable it you replace the 1 with 0.

LEGEND!!! :D

See above ;)

Are these hidden weapons and dog tags for a limited time only or will they be there forever?

They are forever, the weapons apart from three you can unlock for the MP are just for the SP though.

There are three alternative endings for the SP, you get one of the three weapons that unlock for the MP for each one. You just just have to replay the last mission and make a different choice at the end to get the other alternative endings.

im at work and my bro is off on half term, tormenting me by letting me know he is playing on my pc. little scumbag.

edit

im going to try rolling back the drivers cos 5 mins of play for 100 quid isnt a good deal lol

edit again

327 rollback did not work. the game wouldnt even run and sent my computer round the twist

I've had lag issues on every server I've played on. Not that many game crashes though, but I'll wait until tomorrow (after 9AM) to see if the server updates have improved anything.

reinstalled the drivers a couple of times. zero crashes and zero lag on multi player. what a game. mem usage did hit 1938mb so i hit the limit lol. and the temps on the gpus hit 53 which is higher than usual. but the game is fantastic. i didnt think i would like the zeroing of the snipers but its actually really really good. well pleased now.

A look at the new Caspian Border coming in the Second Assault expansion pack from a BF4 Showdown event.

They have made some big changes to the map, one of the biggest being a massive wall running along the map.

Match starts at 8:50

GOD DAMN SERVER CRASHES..

We've lost in the region of at least 20 games worth of points today... lots of server instability.

TBH,I would be about rank 45-50 by now, maybe it is DICE's way of slowing the ranking down:lol::lol::lol::lol:

(I know the pain mate).I have hit rank 3,8 times and rank 13,4 times.

So I need your help boys!

BF4 runs great, I'm getting like 50-90fps maxed out which I'm very pleased with!

I do have one issue, which happens occasionally, I'll go to press a number key to draw out a different weapon, and it minimizes BF4 into windowed mode...ok so I click back on the window and we're back to full screen. Only now I have to use the mouse scroll wheel for weapons...okay I can live with that, but then EVERY key minimises the game. So once you quit the game, if you attempt to open say Origin (which is already open but minimized) it pops up the "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to your computer" box. Plus every key pressed then does something else. I went to type in overclock3d.net and it locked Windows and needed the password, then when I got back in, command prompt, and something else was open!

It has to be BF4, because it doesn't do it with anything else, but why is it affecting my desktop when I quit the game?! It's stopping me playing BF4.

Dude I can't help. All I can do is tell you that when playing BF4, it is doing stupid sh*t to my computer and one other guy in our clan (there is about 8 of us so 2/8) causing multiple programmes to close/stop working/not open. God damn Catalyst Control Center stopped working in the background without knowing... Good job I tabbed out and noticed, might of stopped the 'auto fan control' feature.

You're not alone.

That's ridiculous, they really shouldn't be aloud to release a game in this state. For me the game is great, but I'm not playing it when it's interfering with everything else within Windows.

Shaun: After you closed the game, press the "E" Key once. If it opens up the Explorer, tip the Windows key once and press "E" again. If it still opens the explorer, I don't know, if it doesn't anymore, it shouldn't interfere anymore

I'll give that a try.

Showed my brother in law my new rig and let him have a go on BF4 yesterday and it didn't do the bug then, but since there has been no patch or anything I'm sure I'll run into it again!

unpark your cpu cores to see a nice fps boost
That's an urban myth, unparking CPU cores doesn't actually have a noticeable performance increase. As soon as a program initiates processes on more that one core the operating system unparks the dormant cores so that they become active. As-long as there's activity on the core it won't be parked.

I'd be interested to see some benchmarks, although I speculate there won't be much difference.
