barbs

Hi,

I hate the look of hose clips, especialy since my case is mostly clear panels, I was thinking of using 10mm push fit but have since found out that the hose needs to be pretty rigid.

Has anyone used the 10mm compression fits and how good are they, do they self seal, etc'

Thanks,

i have them and this was my 1st WC build. Pretty easy to use, no leaks thus far (touches wood/head). Just remember to not over tighten them.

Imo compression fittings are better than barb/clip combo. And you can get them to cater for most tubing sizes now. Only real problem with them is they're more expensive. And when you need large numbers it can add up.

Hi,

I have only found the compression fittings for 10mm O/D tube but I would prefer 1/2" O/D do you know if anyone in UK sells the others ?

Theres no readily available T/Y pieces with compression fittings but you could make your own from a few different fittings easily enough.

Job's a good'un! :)

I have decided to put up with clips on EK 3/8" barbs now, after I ordered 2 of the compression fittings and they won't fit any of the blocks, appart from the mosfet, as they are much to bulky, it's a shame as they do look really nice, just to fat.
