Backup Data

partition off a space on your hard drive for backups, then just copy and paste what you need to the partition,or buy a 2nd hdd for media/backups.

Raging.

You need a dual layer burner. but i think most moden ones are.

iirc you can also get double sided ones that are compatible with most.

Use your ipod :P

If i was to use my ipod. Would i just delete all the songs off of it, then just enable disk mode, then go to my computer and drag and drop the folder in to my ipod?

That would totally defeat the purpose of having an ipod...

It's a lot better to just partition the disk for a storage/backup partition to be honest.

do you mean, storing data temporarily? or for long periods of time?

cuz when i reformatted, i backed-up all of my data onto my 60 gb ipod video

Totally agreed, this is the better option imho

For my ipod i would just put the stuff on my ipod then once i reinstall windows i would just put it back onto my comp and delte the folders of my ipod and put music on it like i normally would.

New partition is still easier. Faster transfer, and it takes barely any time at all.

True, but i have no clue how to do that.
You get PowerQuest Partition Magic, and it's an easy graphical interface, if you can't figure it out go get that program and I'll tell you how to do it.
