B Team request

Morning guys,

Can I make a small request from the B team please? Could we arrange a couple of sessions on De_CPL_Fire please whereby the B team will play against the A team?

It's hard to get PCW's on this map as you can imagine and it'll give us both a chance to train on the map and most importantly, you can give us feedback on how you find our defense and attacks!

Ideally I'd like to get at least one or two games this week if possible. Tonight I'm going to finalise tactics, so if everyone is online, we can do it whenever you're all ready.

The game on sunday didn't happen as we only had 3 people online at 8pm even tho ham had made a thread previously. Guess it will be a good surprise if we have 5 of the B team online tonight.

I'm about to do tactics tonight. It might be a good idea to give the B team some tactics. Ones that are likely to cause us problems.

Yep agreed. If we have enough, I'll get everyone on the same TS channel so that I can quickly walk through some basic tactics for the B team.

I'll cover things such as where to throw smokes and FB's + where to attack.

We can also quickly cover CT holding positions and see if our tactics can get through the B team defence.

I wanna wipe the smirk off the predicting guys face on the LoG forum... Topgooner has predicted us a win though.

Well if NA dont drop out then we may have to field one or even two mercs. Skank is still out of action so that leaves Nads and the guy who was helping us out last night who is apparently amazing

It depends on how you guys want to approach it. Skank is still out of action and trying to get a PC sorted (the DHL guys dropped his one and broke it!!). Nads would be available but I know this map is not familiar to him.

However, I do know that both Danny and Nick (D and Rig) from mEm would be more than happy to play in a game with us. Danny was the best mEm player by a long way and is very good indeed. Nick is again very good.

It depends on what you lads want to do though. If you want to make sure we win, then getting these players in will achieve this. However if you'd rather play it with our original team, then thats cool. I'm happy either way.

I just want to win our first proper competition and don't mind how we do it, but I'll leave the decision up to you guys

I think we've had the misfortune of going up against the likely winners in the quarters. If we were to knock them out then I can see us standing a good (better than against cC) chance against the likely finalists; NA.

Ins I think you should bring in 2 of your mates. Coupled with Oxo/Llwyd/Jim and you would be a more than formidable team. I wanna see us win this match at very least, these predictions have ticked me off a bit...

Well lads, let me know what you think. I think some of the old mEm lot will play if we needed it. It depends on how you wanna approach it really.

Firstly if we do go ahead and play with our normal team, I'm gonna need you online to go over the tactics and also play PCW's. However I appreciate that you have busy lives so it's not a problem if you can't do this. However if you can't then let me know so that I can sort something else out.

Secondly, if I get my "old skool" mates to play, then we can just leave the training on the map (I'll go over positions with the people that are playing) and then we can just focus on the next map when people have time.

Bottom line, the CS:S bug has bitten me again and I want to play pretty hardcore like I used to, but as mentioned, I appreciate that you all have other things you need to do!

Like I say though, I'm happy with whatever approach we decide on. I've got a lot of ideas for Fire and would like to get some PCW's tonight with the B team, but I don't know if we'll have a team online.

If we don't prepare for the game, we'll not win it if I'm blunt. Well let me know what you think. I wanna put the time in but only if we have people that can do the same
