Automatic fan controller sensors

Hi guys,

How well do the automatic fan controllers work? Do they adjust to the temperatures ok?

I'm thinking of using the graphics card and cpu exhaust heat to control the fans.

Are the sensors a bitch to locate and mount (and hide wires)?

Cheers,

Laurence

Anyone?

The thermal sensors usually go betwen chip and heatsink as far as i'm aware mate.I maybe wrong but i can't see any other place they could go in all fairness, not to get an accurate temp reading anyway.

So is there any real relevance to the sensor since you can always download software which monitors thermal temps?

I understand that the sensors are critical when it comes to setting thresholds in the fan controller so when it get too hot the fans kick in (increase voltage), and when it gets below the set level voltage decrease and so on...

The manual guide says not to place it between the Heatsink and chip LOL
