Well I'm pissed.
A couple weeks ago I decided to RMA my GTX670 since a problem I thought I had with my motherboard was actually my graphics card's fault. Everything went fine and dandy for the RMA, I got my RMA number on October 29th, and sent my card out, an ASUS GTX670, on November 12th. I was a little worried for a while because I couldn't find my card's status using the ASUS RMA Status thing, but I still received an email on November 27th saying they had shipped my card out to me. This is where the trouble started.
On the email, it said they had shipped me out one of their DC2 GTX580's. Not only is this card not what I payed for, but it is significantly worse performing than the GTX670. I sent them an email right after I got their email saying generally, if a GTX580 shows up on my door, we're going to have a problem. No response.
Lo and behold, I get a box from ASUS today and inside is a GTX580. I haven't opened the packaging to see it's condition nor am I going to. I've already emailed ASUS saying this is completely ridiculous and I want to know how I can get this 580 back and my 670 back at their expense. As you can imagine, I am extremely upset because now I'm going to have to wait at least another two weeks before I finally get my rig back to full capacity.
TL;DR: I sent ASUS a GTX670, they sent me back a GTX580, I'm mad.
Has anything like this ever happened to anyone else? Gotta say I'm really starting to doubt ASUS as a company, I have a tablet made by them and I've had nothing but trouble from that. Needless to say I'm going to try and stick with other brands from now on.
