It is there to boost the PCI-E lanes when using multi GPU setups.

Having said that 8 Pack did not use it when he was benching four cards on the board.

I have one on order and hopefully I can get to try it out with the R9 290Xs.

I think this is the most beautifull design from ASUS. I would cannot chose if they give me the choise of ASUS Sabertooth TOF or Rampage Maximus IV Black Edition.

So....i must say that this lokks pretty good but i got one major problem with this Board layout.. The spacing between the RAM-Slots and the first PCIe Slot ... damn...why ASUS why?... Please do something....In my Rig i CANT use the First PCIe Slot cause the RAM is Watercooled and actually want to put 3-4 Graphics in the Rig but now i couldnt do that...even if i purchased the Blak edition...

Why do you need to watercool the RAM, there is plenty of fast ram about that is quite happy using air cooling.

Wasn't overclockers bought out by caseking.de a while ago so you're now not funding the exploits of the former owner (who has a baad reputation)?

this is the only ROG thing I would buy due to it being a bit more stealth, I'm not a massive fan of it due to how over the top the ROG brand is as a whole . The same goes for the Fata1ity (or however you spell it) branded stuff. Its not my cup of tea .
