Asus Directcu II gtx770 faild

After about 80h of playtime in Fallout new Vegas vsynced to 60zh @ 1080p, game started crashing, 3rd time it crashed my pc started locking up after windows7 logo. PC does boot into safe mode but there are green dots and lines all over the screen. PC will boot into windows normally, if I let it powered off for about 10min, but it blackscreens after 30min, or in seconds if I attempt to run a game.

I have tried clean installing nVidia drivers and it didn't work. I tested my 770 o a different pc and the same thing happens.
I'm running my old 8800gts now and it works fine.
Is there any way to repair my 770? I'm in a bad spot right now and I can't afford a new gpu.

You can bake it. That is about your only option if it is like that.

Sadly if your 770 has reached this state of artifacting and it's proven the same on a second system then the card is ready for retirement, I know of no way to repair a card that does this it's just Silicon degredation and maybe time to consider saving for a new one. Sad times R.I.P GTX770.

Sorry to hear about your graphics card. It sounds like the GPU's silicon is going bad, as Wraith has already said.

At least you have your 8800GTS at a stop-gap, but it looks like you need to start saving for something new.

Could power supply have killed my gpu? I have Corsair tx650 from 2012, it's cool and quiet, I didn't have any problems with it, but it's old. Should I replace it when I get a new gpu?

It can but does not seem like it did in this case. It is mostly likely the memory on the card just failing. It's usually the first thing to go on a GPU.
