i have removed my faulty control board and have a replacement, but i cannot remove the cables on the above picture, and i don't see how to open the holes on the new one either

How do you open the stupid holes to allow me to remove the spade connectors?

help!

Ok mate the board will pull off the mounst the you will be able to slip a screwdriver in behind nd slip the spade connectors off or pull them off with angled pointy nose pliers once the board is loose you can lay the board on the desk or someat to be able to push down on the slits above where the spade cables are connected and they will come out :)

Hope this helps

all sorted - was a bit of a bugger to install and take out the broken one, had to take the fan out first which was tricky.

Mach2 now running properly for first time in ages, so was worth it!

thanks for the board Phil - you know you should advertise the fact you sell just the control board on ebay + the purchase page maybe

Hi Phil

Do you have any more of these boards available for sale? I have given up reflashing my Mach 2 control board - as it constantly loses its settings. It would be great to find a replacement

:thumbsup

Bob when you say its loosing settings what do you mean?? I'm having problems with mine. It wont reach the boot temp of -50 when left on standby but if its unplugged from the mains then replugged in and started up it behaves as it should do quick start up time and goes to -60.

Also my fans are unresponsive with the control pannel. If i set them to something they take about 20 mins to go to that speed!!!

So if this sounds the same then i think i will get the board changed on mine!!

Phill if your reading this. It is looking as it might be the board going from the other posts. So i will get it packed up to send to you!!

Hi Smokie

When I say losing it settings - I can load the firmware / software and get the LCD displaying temps etc without too many dramas, then at various stages the LCD displays the start of the bootloading process again (eg Bootloading 0 x 355 etc) - without me doing anything.

After a bit of farting around I can then reload the firmware and get things up and running again, but only to be back to the same point within a few hours.
