Still needs a few things added here and there to make it look a little more like a transformer (such as hotwiring an LED autobots logo to the fan controller and sticking it behind the front panel mesh) but its a damn good start
biggrin.gif

The first things for me to sort out are:

Additional fan for the front intake
RMA faulty memory stick
Replace CPU cooler

Whilst the 7950 was in bits I applied some new thermal paste (Noctua stuff) and its running around 12c cooler than before! :D

I just set my D5100 to take photo's every minute and then I went through the 100's of photos at the end and chose the one's that shown what I was up to at the time :)

Lovely case!
Got a 500R myself and I'm very pleased with it.

When you paint it with spraycan do you sand it afterwards to get a glossy finish?

Best regards
Gerner

Used 600 wet & dry to take the original paint off, cleaned it and gave it 2 coats of primer (white) then did 2-3 coats of the custom yellow paint and left it to cure for 24 hours.

I was impressed with the finish as it is so I left it at that BUT the intention was to lacquer it then use 1200 wet & dry to even it all out if it didn't look the part.

On a side note - OCD Monkey strikes again

The noise from the Tt cooler got on my nerves along with having an empty fan slot at the front. Sooooooooooooooooo I put the Antec Kuhler 620 back in (for now) and mounted it in push/pull and put some Akasa Apaches (black) in the front. All controlled by the fan controller

On a side note, Avexir need to get a move on with my RMA request, that single stick of memory is looking a little lonely

Now the temps with a moderate overclock (set for so the prev cooler could cope, will nudge up a little more now)

On the case why don't you make some effects, like the bumblebee on your desktop. Some scratches here and there. Might give it that last touch, instead of being a machine-bee :D

Best regards
Gerner

I toyed with the idea of having it 'worn' but its too much work for me to do at the moment as its taken me all week (I booked time off work to do it) to get this far and im back in work on Monday.

Perhaps sometime in the future, just don't have the time at the moment :(
