ARES CF ATI Driver problem, HELP !

I got two of ARES for CrossFireX.

and currently I'm having problem with Bluescreen when boot.

I found that caused by ATI driver.

I think ttl mentioned in his review that these cards in CF was a no go. Due to bad drivers.

Think the only way to solve this issue is to wait for an updated driver to come out and hope for the best.

Even Single Card still problem with BlueScreen...T_T

It happens when I install any softwares or drivers into system. next boot and pop up bluescreen....

doesn't matter 1 ARES or 2 , happen same..

Your not cleaning the drivers off of the system properly mate. You need to uninstall all ati drivers, and restart (with one card in) the run driver sweeper to clean ati driver residue files off.

The reinstall the drivers that are on the disc with the card only.

DONT try to use two or it will bsod again and you have to do a proper driver clean as just an uninstall doesnt work.

I tried to clean install the Windows 7 and tried install Asus driver.

I think that asus ati driver conflict with other drivers.

now I'm trying 10th clean install win7 again. and trying to install ALL drivers and softwares except asus ati driver.

So far so good. lol

also I already took out 1 ARES from system. using just 1 ARES

Its not conflict, I tested these cards with the exact system you have mate. Your not installing / uninstalling it properly.

I have just installed a second HD5870 card and I had similar problem, blue screening in windows 7. But work ok with my Vista setup on the same computer. I had to unload the drives and re-install, working fine with 10.3.

Its not conflict, I tested these cards with the exact system you have mate. Your not installing / uninstalling it properly.

oh then I should use driver sweeper for install & uninstall drivers?

whenever I install other devices drivers and software then reboot system bluescreen comes up. eventhough windows just cleaned install...

Not sure what to do..

Uninstall your display driver, reboot into safe mode, run Driver Sweeper, make sure you tick all the boxes that say ATi blabla, let it run, reboot, install the latest display driver.

That's how I do it anyway

Oh and by the way.. I'd be happy to receive one of those cards if you've got a spare one.. (A)

What driver’s version are you using?

I was using 10.6 on my windows 7 setup had blue screen problem, on my Vista setup I had 10.3 had no boot up problems.

I decided to use the old 10.3 on the windows 7, removed the old drivers using windows control panel and reloaded 10.3.

I will try the 10.8 later when release

Im using Asus ATI driver ( ati8711_Win7Vista64 ).

HD5xxx drivers could not install because driver not support ARES..such as 10.6 lateset one.

And there is only 1 driver available for ARES.

I can't quite put my finger on it but there's something about cat 10.6 I just don't like. I think I'ma go back to 10.5.

These cards dont work with the cats, they need the dedicated Ares driver.

tinytomlogan , I followed your way but still same...when I install/uninstall drivers that require reboot, bluescreen comes up.
