I bought the aquaxtreme 50z pump from here which came with a molex adapter, Phil said he would give me instructions on how to attach the molex connector, its a pretty odd combo of wires. But I guess Phil is away atm or something.

Could anyone here point me in the right direction ?

You should have a red and a black wire coming from the pump. The Red wire from the pump will go to the Yellow on the molex for your 12V, the black to either black on the molex for your ground.

ok thanks, and do you have any idea what the mini plug is which comes off the wire seperately ?

Hi mate, sorry I didnt get back to you yesterday! Ignore that mini plug it is a fan header from a 120mm fan You just need to remove the larger molex connector from the other end and stick it on to the pump

Im still a bit unsure so Im just posting to confirm this with a picture:

Do I literally just swap those wires with each other, so take out the red from the cable given with the pump and replace it with the red cable from the pump. And do the same with the black cable ?

And once ive done this do I just plug it in and im away, or are other cables needed to be plugged into the molex.

Also I have a question about the Aquaxtreme 50z pump, which is the inlet and which is the outlet ?
