April fools or a peak into the 700 desktop series?

desktop cards are not goin to release this year anymore (probably) and the gpu boost 2.0 stuff etc. was already known. not really news, besides if you are into notebooks of course.
 
notes, nets and ultras are kinda the proving ground for wattage/consumption
ratings. if the stringent testing and certification proves well, then they move to
the large scale platforms.
 
It's probably just a re branded 600 with a few new features, notice how there are no comparisons between the 600's ;)
 
Nvidia have no reason to change anything IMO. If they were miles behind AMD they would need something but they're not. Releasing something now would be pretty stupid considering they were boasting about record profits from 104.

The laptop 700 series may just be a product refresh using faster cores, they do that chit all the time.
