also, my external HDD, which is formatted in NTFS, it can read, but it cant write to ...annoying ...
so i need to get a new external, bit bigger, format it in mac format, copy across what i need, then format the smaller one ....or perhaps just use it with my windows pc again, i dunno yet...
nice review.... honestly i wouldnt spend USD$1700 on a computer when im only getting a i3viruses or no viruses (honestly i cant recall whens the last time i got a virus)![]()
i do love those screens though
I was extremely close to purchasing the 27" Mac but I went with my current build (signature) instead. Reading this...I regret it a little , but I haven't had one single crash in the 3/4 months I've had it.
its not $1700, its £1700, which when roughly converted is about $3000
and i love the ease of not needing AV software, or needing things running constantly just to have peace of mind, unlocks the power for...everything else, aka things i do![]()
oh my bad i was looking at the base 27" base model
wait! you payed 3000 for an i3 mac? im confused![]()
yea some people do have problems with viruses though thats why i despise using other people PCs
i might make my custom pc a hackintosh wonder if you can dual boot it with windows thatd be BA

Google Hackintosh. With some Intel processors you can install Mac OS X natively and multiboot it with Windows...I know because my mate did it (I didn't because I have an AMD processor).
and viruses dont tend to be a problem for me, but its still nice to not have to worry at all...ever
i couldnt either then, my main rig is a 939 4200+ system
It's a common misconception that Macs do not and cannot ever get a virus. Viruses have previously been installed to a Mac when installing add on software or downloading something, it's true and it has happened. If you want I can get you a link. Also, some people will be working hard all the time to find more malicious viruses and software for Macs - it isn't set in stone that a virus won't be developed in the future.
If you already have an iMac (which you do), it is possible. Here: http://www.ihackintosh.com/2009/09/install-snow-leopard-106-on-amd-pc-hackintosh/
