Agreed - but it's most likely for the fashion statement.

Nobody cares for other headphones these days even if they are better if they dont say Beats on them...

Bought a set of beats, sound good look boss! I wouldn't want to walk down the street in a set of headphones that didn't look .. like .. you know.

Also, I went to Comet the other day, and for the most part it just seemed as if 10% had been knocked off. Pretty sure places like Amazon etc. would still be cheaper.

I bought the Beyerdynamics costum one pro, I'm using it every day - I love it, best sound ever and with the high base settings are still clear hights and good mids remaining and a bass that kicks the damn beats into the garbadge. ^^

You sure about that?

Beyerdynamics are amazing headphones - but they don't carry the same fashion statement as beats do.
Beats are absolutely fine for portable headphones - good headphones have bigger drivers that portable devices can't power and so proper headphones are far higher quality.

You're still probably better with getting a portable DAC/headphone AMP and proper headphones than either the beats or the custom ones.
