Who thought it would be a good idea to vent the warm air out the sides and back in to your case rather than all of it out the rear of the psu?

As ShaunB-91 noted, those visible cables are a sin.

The vents on the sides probably aren't going to make much difference. Considering how efficient PSUs are these days, they barely produce heat anyway. I'd hazard a guess to say it actually aids more in getting ventilation in whilst under minimal load, and as we've seen on other Seasonic units, the fan wouldn't even spin up under that kind of load.

Heat from the PSU getting out the sides isn't exactly going to make any difference to your system temperatures anyway, so it really isn't something I'd be concerned about.

Yeah I guess your right in that there's not a lot of heat generated, and the vent is there for when the load is high. A lot of psu's have vents out to the inside of the case, big and small. This is not the best execution of it though.

Lets see how they fare in some reviews when released, hope they are solid units as i always remembered Antec making quality power supplies!
