Another GTX 570 or GTX 680

I ordered most of the parts for my newest build today (I will put at bottom of post) and I can't decide if I should just take my GTX 570 from my last rig, buy another and SLI them in the new system or if I should just get a single 680. Or if anyone has any other card recommendations then let me know.

New rig specs:
  • I7-3930k
  • 32 gb (8x4 bg) Corsair Vengeance 1600
  • 2x Corsair Force 3 120 GB
  • Corsair H100
  • 4x Noctua NF-P12
  • Asus Rampage IV Extreme
  • Corsair Professional HX1050
  • Corsair 800D

The PC is going to be a part gaming rig, part work PC for my house. (3D game development) which is the primary reason for the 32 gb of memory. Also memory is so cheap now why not fill all the slots, when I built my first PC 2 gb of ram cost almost the same as this 32.

I was on the same boat (almost) get the 680!! You dont have to worry about the multi GPU problems, OCs better, and it seems with time It will out perform dual 570s anyways. With a minor OC of course.

That's what I was thinking. I'm going to overclock it of course and from benchmarks I have seen it does perform extremely well. Also it will leave the door open for me to get a 2nd in the future if I want.

Mind is made up! Going with the 680, thanks for the suggestions.
