annoying toolbar problem

well i did something i dont no what i cant fix it either but i accidentaly made the toolbar/start menu area better bigger and i dont want it to it wont go back to a normal state

Right click on toolbar, unselect 'Lock toolbar' if selected, resize toolbar by clicking and gragging it downwards from the top of the bar.

well it was unlocked in the first place and when i go to drag it down it dosent go where i want it go it goes down further than the dimensions of the screen

That's the way to do it...Jim was correct. I had the same problem ages ago, but you need to get it in the right place. Were you trying to get it sitting at the top instead of the bottom mate, like I have?

yeah, and if that doesnt work, try dragging it by the dots by the start menu button
