Hi, I have a audigy 2 ZS gamer soundcard and logitechs Z-5500 speakers. The PC is in my bedroom where I also have a TV with a DVD player connected to the logitechs via coax optical cable and a PVR connected to the logitechs via optical TOSlink cable. This leaves me with the three analogue jacks to connect the speakers to the PC. I will be using the sound on the PC for games as well as mp3 music. It would be more convenient to have the pc connected via the analogue jacks but would I get better sound quality if I used another toslink cable to connect the PC to the speakers instead (thus meaning I'll have to change the toslink cable over each time I want to watch the TV).

What do you think?

Thanks.

ooh good idea. Do you think it will degrade the sound quality at all using a splitter?

Im not sure that will work for you as 1 of the paired devices will have to be off. Like if you have the pc and the dvd coming through the splitter, thats no pvr / pc @ same time. Audio wont degrade like with rca because its light sending the signal :)

If you have so many devices needing multi speakers why not buy and av receiver and get this hi tec card thats coming out soon.. This is the first card of its kind because it can encode any 3d sound source into dolby live on the fly. to output straight to your av. u can also buy an ad on board for more digi outs.

When you have that you can start wasting some serious money on speakers, or use your logis....:D
